Recycling

Strictly speaking, recycling means that a substance becomes exactly the same substance it used to be without the use of new raw materials and without a very high consumption of energy. Waste is generated in the production and consumption of goods.  The recycling of this waste into the material cycle (production and consumption) is called recycling. A large proportion of the plastics produced already accumulates as waste for disposal or recycling after a relatively short time. The plastic waste can be disposed of in landfills and incinerators. However, storing plastic waste in landfills is the worst solution, as the material is then removed from any further use. The responsible use of resources includes the recycling of plastic products at the end of their life cycle.  The possibilities are manifold and range from so-called upcycling, and material or raw material recycling, to the last sensible recycling option, thermal recycling.
